Practice Starts in September

Queen Anne’s Chorale is pleased to announce its 35th season with the Fall 2022 semester. At
this time, the Chorale is accepting new singers for all voice parts. As a “No Tryout” group, you
will find your fellow singers welcoming and of all skill levels. The rehearsals are fun, relaxing
and laughing is encouraged. No experience is required.
Monday night rehearsals begin September 12 at Centreville UMC, 608 Church Hill Road. Each
semester begins with an “Open House” to welcome new and returning singers. Registration starts
at 6:30pm, with rehearsal at 7:00pm and ending with a brief social. Regular 7:00-9:00pm weekly
rehearsals resume September 19 and run through November 28.
Participants will be preparing repertoire for concerts on the weekend of December 3 & 4. The
theme is “Peace and Harmony”. Selections include old favorites such as “I Heard the Bells on
Christmas Day”, “How Lovely Are the Messengers”, “Grown Up Christmas List” and “Let
There Be Peace On Earth”, along with other holiday standards that all ages will enjoy. Each
concert includes the Select Ensemble, a traditional audience sing-along, and other special music.
Queen Anne’s Chorale is supported in part through grants from the United Way of Queen
Anne’s County, the Queen Anne’s County Centre for the Arts, and the Maryland State Arts
Council, an agency dedicated to cultivating a vibrant cultural community where the arts thrive.
